19 of 19 people found this review helpful. MY BEST TIME TO SHOES By Edwin Aquino I'm a fan of Rockport and been using the classic World Tour for years and done a lot of walking on it. Rockport I always wanted to have a slip on version because I like to tie my shoes. When I saw these, I immediately ordered. Adjustment was the perfect time I put it first and I felt the same comfort as with my old classic World Tour. The quality is the same as the classic version. I am with these more than the tie in the release. It looks good in jeans and semi-casual wear. I'm very happy with these Rockports.

October 10 people found this review helpful. Comfortable and versatile By Luis E. Giner I used these shoes for three days and each day that passes they become more and more comfortable. The great thing about them is they look great with jeans or Dockers. The cords are very thick and the plants provide a pleasant feeling sticky. Rockport has been my shoe of choice for many years and they do not disappoint.

Think of them as casual shoes, not boots By Steve Wootton I wore a pair of boots from Rockport Lakota every day for almost five years until he finally collapsed at my feet. I bought another pair of Lakotas, too, but offered no further Rockport. The Northam looks almost exactly the same as my old Lakotas, so I ordered a pair.

The first thing I noticed when I took them out of the box is that they are lightweight, and not in a good way. Each one of my old Lakota weighs about the same as the pair of Northams. The Northams definitely not rock crushers'm used; These are basically thin brown leather shoes fashioned to look like hiking boots.

Update June 30, 2011:

After using the Northams every day for 8 months + in an office environment, I found them comfortable, but not very durable. Most of the tread in plants has disappeared, and I had a broken shoelace this morning when he was tying his shoes. That could get Northams midsoles and buy new laces, or could opt for another pair of boots. I'll probably just get a new pair of boots and Rockport avoid in the future (what bothers me, because it is used for making shoes that are too large).
